Reading a book can have the biggest impact on your learning & education. If you are reading at home then you will continue to shine, not only in English, but in all of your subjects. Reading is also very relaxing and enjoyable.
Here is our Summer Reading Challenge to try to encourage you all to read more at home. This is for all year groups to get involved. I have included a list of recommended authors and a reading log to record which books you are reading. Try to read with your parents or siblings and discuss what you are reading too. Your English teachers are missing discussing books in the classroom with you and it's a big part of your reading journey and success.
We would like you to read as much as possible between now and September and keep a log of your reading. Detailed reading logs that are submitted in September will lead to lots of praise, recognition and celebration in September. Use the list of recommended authors for inspiration or read other authors that you like that aren't on the list. We can't wait to see what you have been reading. Enjoy!
