Welcome to the Industry Liaison one-stop office which takes care of (a) Institute-Industry Liaison, (b) Institute-Alumni Liaison, and (c) Training and Placement activities.

We act as interface between institute and industry for Training and Placement activities, Internships, Innovative Projects, Industry Projects, Incubation, Startup, Hackathons, Alumni relations, etc.

Our aim is to realize the dreams of students, parents, and society in general. The most important one is to make our students "engineers" who would be able to contribute to the society.

Our team has following functions and responsibilities:

• Nurtures Industry-Institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits.

• In-plant training and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the industry and the academia.

• Receives and forwards the feedback pertinent to curriculum improvement from the visiting companies to the faculty, to ensure that the curriculum follows the latest industrial trends.

• Helps every student define his/her career interest through individual expert counseling.

• Makes available updated database and job profile of the companies and thus helps each student analyze and choose company of his interest. The department has in its active file a database of more than 500 companies.

• Organizes and coordinates Campus Placement Program, to fulfill its commitment of a job to every aspirant.

• Works towards continuing education for the college employees.

• Over the years, the department has maintained symbiotic, vibrant and meaningful relationship with industries across the country and built up an impressive placement record.

SGGS provides all round development to the students along with the academic developments such as, sports, managerial, innovation and many others, like sandwich semester pattern wherein a UG student can spend a semester and PG student can spend two semesters with industry and complete the project.

Great emphasis during the classes is laid on core fundamentals and concepts. The examinations are designed to reflect the understanding of the fundamentals in practical fields.

In order to boost interest in other faculties of technology, the students can take up electives and/or audit courses from department other than their core area of specialization. To encourage the faculty and student interaction, we organize various seminars, lectures and workshops

It is mandatory for all B.Tech, M.tech and PhD students to take up projects under the supervision of the faculty. These comprise basic development and application oriented research projects. Students are also encouraged to publish papers in peer reviewed national and international conferences and journals.
