Positive Behaviour for Learning

In 2020 St Francis Xavier School introduced a program called Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL). PBL is an evidence-based whole school framework that actively promotes positive behaviour. 

PBL includes … proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviours to create positive school environments … a continuum of positive behaviour support for all students within a school is implemented in areas including the classroom and non-classroom settings (such as hallways, buses and restrooms)... It enables students to develop a clear understanding of required expectations, to become responsible for their own behaviour and to work together to create a positive, productive and harmonious learning community.
