Vision and Mission Statements from SFUSD Office of Counseling and Post Secondary Success

Vision

SFUSD students will exemplify the knowledge, skills and attitudes outlined in the Graduate Profile in order to be productive members of their local and global community through the leadership and advocacy of their school site counselors through a Comprehensive School Counseling Program.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Counseling and Post-Secondary Success is to advocate, prioritize and personalize postsecondary outcomes for all students towards the goals of SFUSD’s Graduate Profile. Using the Comprehensive School Counseling Program framework, the department will work with school site counselors to drive implementation; development as leaders; provide targeted professional development and site based technical coaching; and assist with the integration of district initiatives designated to support the most vulnerable and marginalized youth and their families.
