Student-Led Conferences are an important component of student-engaged assessment, which is key to the EL Education curriculum and underlying philosophy of positioning students as the leaders of their own learning. Other important components that we have explored through our professional learning are the use of Learning Targets and Checks for Understanding to help students to build awareness of and active engagement in their learning and development.
