How Can the Wellness Center Help You?

The GWHS Wellness Center is a comprehensive center available for students and the school community. Our services are free, voluntary and confidential (with exceptions to safety). Students decide if they would like to access services, and Wellness does not share personal student information unless there are concerns for the student's safety and well-being (i.e., self-harm, harm to others, or someone is harming the youth). 

You can connect with us for several reasons including: jobs, counseling services, sexual health, nutrition questions, and more! We also provide education and resources about various health topics such as: physical health care, substance use, depression, stress management, anxiety, and family concerns.

Our core team consists of the Wellness Coordinator, Wellness Nurse, Community Health Outreach Worker (CHOW), and 2 full-time therapists from RAMS. In addition, we have several trained counseling and nursing interns that support our center throughout the school year. We also have a dynamic group of students called, Youth Outreach Workers (YOWs), that help represent Wellness services by leading class presentations and various interactive health promotion events throughout the school year.
