Imagining the Imaginarium

One of our goals this year was to transform our computer lab into a Maker Space/ STEAM Lab.   We wanted to give students a voice in the planning and creation of the space.  The fifth-grade students embarked on a project in which they were able to use the CAD software Sketchup to design their ideal space.  The students first measured the room and created blueprints which involved learning about measurement and scaling.  Then they took those blueprints to create their designs in the Sketchup software.
