Reviews for "Touch of Power (Healer #1)" by Maria V. Snyder

Title and Author: Touch of Power (Healer #1) by Maria V. Snyder

Plot Overview: Healers have been blamed for the incurable plague that destroyed the territories. After being on the run for 3 years, Avry of Kazan is one of the only healers left. When Avry runs into trouble, a band of rouges helps her out in exchange for the healing. Now, Avry must decide who is worth healing, and who is worth her life.

Critique:The most compelling character of this book is Kerrick. The leader of a band of rogues, Kerrick expects his orders to be followed without question. When he finally finds Avry after a long search, she shakes things up with him and his band of men. This book was really good. It was not disappointing at all.

Cover Critique: The cover of this book is pretty decent. It is just a picture of a girl who I assume is Avry.

Star Rating: I would rate this book a 5/5. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes combined magic and romance type books.

From Ms. Yang: Book club read Poison Study by Maria Snyder last year and I ended up binge reading the rest of the books in that series. It was quite good!
