Title and Author of the Book: The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty

Plot Overview: The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty is about a pen pal program that is set up between two rival schools. It's told from the private writings of three best friends at one school and the letters they exchange with their pen pals from the other school.

Critique: I really enjoyed this book because there were definitely some suspenseful moments in regard to what would happen when the pen pals met in real life. The summary of the book really left me wanting to read it, but the cover didn't really reflect what went on in the book. I was a bit disappointed with the ending because I felt like some issues didn't really get resolved that well, but the rest of the book was not at all disappointing.
