Plot Overview: Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price— and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekkar. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone...

A convict with a thirst for revenge

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager

A runaway with a privileged past

A spy known as the Wraith

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes

Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction— if they don’t kill each other first.

Critique: I really, really enjoyed reading this book. I’ve re-read the duology so many times, and I haven’t gotten sick of it. This is the second series in The Grishaverse, but it’s fine to read it without knowing Shadow and Bone. The plot is very intriguing and captivating. I love books with morally grey characters, and the main characters in Six of Crows have so many layers to them and they go through so much development. Honestly, the prologue was kind of tough to get through, but it’s not that long and once you get to the first chapter, it’s all good. I highly recommend reading it!!
