Plot Overview: Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland is about a boy, Henry, who meets a girl, Grace. Grace wears boys clothes that are too big, walks with a cane because of an injured leg, and has lost all happiness in her eyes. Throughout the book Grace’s story unravels as Henry learns what has happened in her past.

Critique: The most compelling thing about this book is that it taught me that death is your reward for living and that it should not be feared. The ending was a little bit disappointing but I understand why Sutherland made it turn out that way.
