Plot Overview: Emma Woodhouse is perfectly happy with her life and doesn't seek any romantic interests of her own. However, she loves interfering in the romantic lives of others. She attempts to arrange a match for her pupil Harriet Smith despite the warnings of one of her friends. The novel follows the plans she makes to set them up and the consequences of her actions.

Critique: It felt sort of dragged out in some parts of the novel. The pacing seemed really uneven at times.

Audience Appeal: I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys coming of age stories.
