Friday April 25th

8:00am-11am Nehring Forest Preserve in DeKalb with the DeKalb Forest Preserve 

12:00-1:00pm Join Severson Dells Nature Center and the Atwood Learning Center for a Lunch and Learn Stroll through downtown, starting at the Rockford Public Library Main Branch. We will make a trip to see the city's official bird! 

2:00-3:00pm Guided Plant Hike at Tuttle Clarkson Conservation Area, hosted by Boone County Conservation District

5:30-7:30pm Guided Wander at Deer Run Forest Preserve, hosted by Keith Krey and Sandra Vaughn-Pottorff of the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County

TBD Guided Hike with the DeKalb County Forest Preserve

Saturday April 26th

9:00-10:00am Wildflower Walk at Flora Prairie Conservation Area hosted by Boone County Conservation District 

10:00am-1:00pm Nature Fest with Kish Kids Outside hosted by University of IL Extension, DeKalb County Forest Preserve, and the DeKalb County Soil and Water Conservation District

10:00am-12:00pm Observation Walk with the Natural Land Institute at Lost Flora Fen

10:30am-11:30am Beginner Plant ID Hike at Nature at the Confluence 

2:00pm-4:00pm Kayak Observations at Rock Cut State Park hosted by Rocktown Adventures

Sunday April 27th

9:00-11:00am Guided Moderate hike at Howard Colman Hall Creek Preserve hosted by Byron Forest Preserve

10:30-12:00pm: Guided Wander with Severson Dells Nature Center at Nachusa Grasslands

1:00-2:00pm Birds, Bees, and Plants at Spencer Conservation Area hosted by Boone County Conservation District 

1:00-3:00pm Rivers and Birds hike at Barrick Oaks Homestead Preserve hosted by Byron Forest Preserve 

4:00pm-6:00pm Milkweed and Meadowlarks at Bald Hill Prairie Preserve hosted by Byron Forest Preserve 

Monday

9:00am-12:00pm Drop in anytime to Jarrett Prairie Center to take a short hike with the Byron Forest Preserve education staff! 

3:00-4:00pm Hike through remnant dry prairie at Wade Prairie Forest Preserve (site is managed Prairie Preservation Society of Ogle County) hosted by Byron Forest Preserve

5:00pm-7:00pm Nature ID Hike at Kinnikinnick Creek Conservation Area hosted by Boone County Conservation District
