I knew my life had changed forever when I saw the beautiful sunrise rising over Admin and Maura on my first day at Seton Hill. The golden light casted a warm glow over the campus, and in that moment, I felt a deep sense of peace and purpose. It was as if the universe was giving me a sign. I felt a strong reminder that everything I had worked for, all the challenges I had overcome, had led me right here. I finally felt like I had made it to where I was supposed to be. That sunrise wasn’t just the start of a new day; it was the start of a new chapter in my life.
Getting to this moment wasn’t easy. I had to overcome countless challenges along the way—battling self-doubt, navigating both physical and mental health struggles, and pushing forward without the financial or moral support that many others are fortunate to have. Life threw obstacles at me that, at times, felt impossible to face. But through it all, I held onto the belief that I was meant for something greater. Every setback became a lesson, and every hardship became fuel for my determination. Standing on Seton Hill’s campus, seeing that sunrise, reminded me that I didn’t just arrive here, I fought my way here. And that fight made this moment even more meaningful.
Since arriving at Seton Hill University, I’ve been met with nothing but acceptance, kindness, and support. This community has embraced me for who I am and offered me the opportunity to pursue my passions with purpose and confidence. From the encouraging professors to the welcoming students, every interaction has reminded me that I belong here. Seton Hill has not only given me a place to grow academically, but it has also provided a foundation to elevate myself both professionally and personally. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
