Who are we?

Welcome to the homepage of the EDABK Research Lab, part of the Laboratory for Integrated Circuit Design and System Integration, Hanoi University of Science and Technology!

Founded in 2010, our lab has grown into a vibrant community of 158 members, including 5 esteemed professors and faculty members, 08 dedicated postgraduate students (Ph.D. and Masters), and 145 enthusiastic undergraduate students. Our Lab has good cooperation with many companies (Viettel, FPT, Samsung R&D, VNPT Technology, Ginnovation, G-Group, McNext, Infineon, Qorvo, SoC One, Viosoft, Dolphin, CoAsia, Toshiba, HCL ... ) and universities around the world (Telecom Paris, UC San Diego, Kaist, SNU, ...)

Currently, we are actively engaged in 05 cutting-edge projects with industry support from prestigious organizations such as Samsung R&D, Ginnovations, Denso, FPT, and Bosch Company. Additionally, we are proud to collaborate on 02 international projects, further extending our research impact globally.

Our main research activities revolve around two critical areas:

1. SoC Design and Integration: 

   • Developing Hardware Accelerators for signal processing and AI algorithms

     • Advancing Voice/Image/Video Processing Algorithms on Low-power SoC/Embedded Systems.

     • Advanced Computing Architecture for Spike/Convolution Neuron Networks.

   • SoC Integration

     • RISCV-based SoC/Embedded Systems.

     • SoC Implementation and testbench on FPGA.

   • Brain-inspired new computing architecture: SNN Hardware

2. AIoT Systems and Applications:

   • Health Care AIoT: 

     • Designing Smart Beds equipped with advanced sensors

   • Industrial AIoT:

     • Quality Assurance AI Cameras

     • Equipment Maintenance 

     • Productivity Management

     • OCR for Data Logging Solutions
