Rubynetti develops, creates, and restores software and web applications, combining technical expertise, good humor, and a strong connection to the local community of Venice. It promotes sustainable work models and specializes in Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, and open-source technologies.
Every year since 1988, students from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) have conducted research projects at the VPC to address some of the major problems faced by the city of Venice, using a scientific and technological approach. Over the course of more than 3 decades of activity, projects have covered a wide range of topics, from cultural heritage conservation to in-depth analysis of the lagoon's hydrogeological data. All data collected is public, in an open format and accessible to all citizens; some form the basis for the operation of city services for the community and are used daily by applications and predictive models.

Charles Henri Schultz is a French technologist, Free Software and Open Standards advocate. He is a cybersecurity expert and also co-founder of Document Foundation and LibreOffice. He is the former director of the OASIS Consortium and he has been engaged in many digital public policy debates at European level. He was in charge of national security and cybersecurity for six years on behalf of the French government. Since February 2020 he is the chief Strategy officer at Vates, a company dedicated to software development, testing, quality control and R&D.
Spaceflux Ltd is a British company dedicated to space traffic management and Space Domain Awareness (SDA). At the beginning of 2025 it decided to expand into Europe, with the first office opened in Italy, in Venice, through the Spaceflux Italia Srl branch, which aims to support European and Italian space security.
HCOMM has developed and patented integrated "Neuro-responsive interior solutions" technologies and solutions, integrated neurosensory systems that allow users to manage their living environment and their psycho-physical-emotional state (immersive neurosensory responsiveness). In addition to technological solutions that can be customized for any space, HCOMM research has developed specific neurosensory programs that users can perform within spaces equipped with HCOMM technologies to support personal needs, well-being, and improved work and psycho-physical performance. The School for Curatorial Studies Venice is an ambitious and challenging project promoted since 2004 and conceived as a school committed to experimentation and interdisciplinary thinking. The main goals are to spread knowledge in the field of visual arts and to introduce the students to the professions related to the art world, focusing on contemporary curatorial theory and practice and contemporary museology. The school's venue is Venice, a city that students learn to know and respect and where some decide to stay.
Centro Progetti Venezia (CPV) is an association that aims to contribute to the environmental and cultural conservation of the city of Venice, as well as its Lagoon. In particular, it promotes constructive interaction between students, teachers, professionals, public authorities and citizens on applied studies and research programs in interdisciplinary fields. The Association is a
non-profit organization and exclusively pursues goals of social solidarity.

Since 2021, DaRente has been offering an innovative method in the search and selection of domestic helpers and caregivers, with particular attention to the needs of families residing in insular Venice. With DaRente it is not necessary to travel or waste time on bureaucratic procedures; it is sufficient to inform the operators on the needs of the person to be assisted and they remotely identify the resource, proceed with the hiring and with the fulfillment of all legal duties.
Palomar is a platform designed for those who want to visit a city, rediscovering the link between local culture and natural ecosystem. The project debuts in Venice and aims to extend to other coastal cities of the Mediterranean, creating a network that promotes respect, responsibility and shared care for the environment.
Since 2015 Livio Cassese has been Graphic Designer, Editorial Designer and Art Director. Renowned for his distinctive and refined approach to visual communication, he distinguishes himself in the realm of design. He is a member of AIAP and collaborates with important clients such as La Biennale, Feltrinelli, Skirà and Venetian Heritage. His work focuses mainly on typography, design exhibitions, bookshops and merchandising projects.
Alexander Feder leads “Ondoso”, an entrepreneurial initiative dedicated to cultivating talent and fostering projects that blend the domains of technology and art, operating within both the digital as well as local spheres.He is a partner at Adapter, a digital venture studio based in Montréal.

Algae Scope is a team of scientists, engineers, and climate experts dedicated to building circular economies through regenerative macroalgae. By combining innovative research with traditional seaweed cultivation, they transform coastal algae into sustainable solutions that address pollution and climate challenges while enhancing biodiversity. They collaborate with industries to create bio-based energy like bioethanol and sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilizers and plastics. Their seaweed-based coatings and composites replace harmful PFAS chemicals, offering water-repellant and fire-resistant solutions for textiles and materials, enabling a shift to eco-friendly practices.
Venice Lagoon Plastic Free is a no-profit organization that acts as a platform for collaboration between organizations and individuals locally and internationally. It designs projects and networks to prevent plastic pollution and promote the circular economy, organizes clean-up operations in the territory and promotes the adoption of good practices through public debates. It also conducts independent monitoring initiatives on water pollution in Venice, collaborating with national and international research institutes.
PesCo is a startup developing fishing tourism in Venice. It aims to connect touring fishermen with local hosts to share knowledge, experiences, and techniques.
Fabrizio Tamburini, after a decade of teaching and research in national and foreign universities, is co-founder of the Rotonium company. Ph.D in relativity and quantum physics in England, scholar of astrophysics, pure mathematics and mathematical logic, his discoveries earned him the prestigious Ångström Lecture in Uppsala, under the auspices of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Nobel Institute for Physics. At Fabbrica H3 he was mainly involved in research applied to the construction of a photonic quantum computer: a computer that uses the laws of quantum physics to make calculations considered impossible. Among his great passions : a cat, fast cars and the violin, which he practiced playing in the former church bell tower.
Crafted is a digital creative hub based in Venice. It offers marketing services and operates in the world of digital communication by creating projects in collaboration with leading companies in the sectors of Digital production, Digital design, Digital Strategy, Advertisement, Video production and Social Media Management. Crafted was born in 2021 to create a positive local impact by offering valuable opportunities to young talents, in synergy with the best universities.
SmartVenice was founded in 2014 on the initiative of professionals with multidisciplinary local and international expertise inspired by the idea of fostering new patterns of social and environmental sustainability. Its first endeavour consisted in a privately funded urban regeneration project in Venice, leading to the opening of Laguna Libre. The company continued its operations and in 2018 set up a new branch by operating as an independent research unit and consultancy on inclusive digital and social innovation and gender equality.
Emanuele Wiltsch Barberio is the founder of the cultural enterprise “Cosmogram”, an independent editorial entity that since 2022 supports, represents and promotes artists and musicians in the form of a record label and production company.
The Swampgod project, initiated in 2020 by Arturo Boem, a graffiti writing-inspired designer hailing from Venice, Italy, emerged as a creative endeavor during the lockdown. His background in graffiti writing and design converged to give birth to a unique concept. Boem embarked on the journey of upcycling basic archetypal workwear, transforming items like pants and jackets into fashion statements that resonated with an urban, edgy aesthetic.
Paul Rosenberg is the editor of YtaliGlobal, the International Edition of Ytali.com, an online magazine based in Venice. YtaliGlobal publishes English language translations of articles from Ytali.com and original English articles, creating a unique blend of ideas and perspectives from around the world that reflects Venice itself.
SRL (esserrelle), an editorial project led by Matteo Lentini, Celine Roberti and Lorenzo Seano, defines itself as “A limited liability company to editorial and photographic support and, as such, is aimed at multiple research and is accountable for visual obligations only within the limits of the three dimensions experienced by each member.”
In the interpolation of different experiences comes the desire to produce visual works that tell the surrounding, giving special importance to experimentation on the adopted medium.
Venice Calls is a non profit organization based in Venice and born officially in 2019. The vision of the association is that "Venice represents a thermometer of changes in the world" and for that reason Venice Calls mission is to create a network to transform challenges of today into opportunities to give a new shape to the community's future.
