SerenDPT gives the opportunity to emerge and develop to a plurality of artistic projects and welcomes in Factory H3 art residencies that offer the possibility to connect with the island of Giudecca and to develop a relational sensibility with the site of the former church of SS Cosma & Damiano. Over the years this has fostered and stimulated the exchange of ideas and languages among artists, generated site-specific works and enriched the cultural landscape of the area.

OFFICIAL COLLATERAL EVENT OF THE 61ST INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION OF BIENNALE DI VENEZIA - Exhibition
This May, beginning with the opening on 9 May, the H3 Factory becomes the site of AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, a project by Zeitgeist19, an Official Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition of Biennale di Venezia 2026.
The project, curated by Elizabeth Zhivkova and Farah Firiye Coene, realised in collaboration with One Ocean Foundation, presents contributions from Marshmallow Laser Feast, Antoine Bertin, Andrea Crespi, Almagul Menlibayeva & Suad Gara, Orkhan Mammadov, Elnara Nasirli, and Yoko Shimizu.
Inside the former church of Saints Cosma and Damiano, today H3 Factory, the exhibition unfolds as a layered environment where sound, light, and moving image operate as interconnected fields. Scientific research, ecological data, and embodied memory are brought into proximity, forming shifting relationships between perception and environment.
The title functions as a structural principle: relationships between different scales of reality are treated as continuous rather than separate, allowing meaning to emerge through interaction rather than representation.

TRANSDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH - Residence
Antoine Bertin’s work bridges science and sensory experience, weaving together field recordings, sound storytelling, data, and musical composition. His immersive pieces invite us to listen more closely to the world around us, creating poetic spaces for reflection and reconnection. "What I'm trying to do and investigate is, how we can maybe come back or refind a relationship that can be with the ocean that can be personal or ritualistic. How the ocean can be part of our life every day? (...) So listening to the ocean, but also listening for some sort of meaning and some sort of tuning into other forms of thinking, sensing um and communicating. How does a fish perceive the ocean? What does an algae has to say about the universe and so on."
His residency at Fabbrica H3, part of the transdisciplinary research project and program “As Above, So Below”. It was conceived by ZEITGEIST19 in collaboration with One Ocean Foundation and SerenDPT, and is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins with meaningful connection. By bringing together artists, marine researchers, scientists, and thinkers from across the Mediterranean, the program fosters deep interdisciplinary exchange focused on biodiversity, ocean conservation, ecosystem regeneration, and reimagining our relationship with the natural world.

"UNO SGUARDO AL CENTRO" is an experimental digital installation that blends art and well-being research to encourage self-reflection and new perspectives; a journey of exploration through 4 audiovisual experiences, each focusing on two interconnected elements: Awareness—actively listening to oneself and Presence—being fully engaged with one's inner resources, others, and the world.
The installation’s content was created in collaboration with Essere R.E.I.K.I., a group of expert scholars in natural
bioenergetic arts and disciplines. They share with Big Oceans a deep interest in the exploration of both the
individual and the collective, developing projects aimed at well-being and the perception of beauty in all its forms. The Reiki method, founded by Japanese Master Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, is a rebalancing practice that works on every aspect of being, with the goal of restoring psychophysical and energetic harmony. It addresses the root causes of imbalances, allowing them to be released and tensions to dissolve.

“LANDSCAPES OF SILENCE AND TIME” is a profound and poetic exploration of identity, time and collective memory. ERJON NAZERAJ's works project the viewer into a suspended temporal and spatial dimension, where landscapes, stories of emigration, intimate and collective memories and geographical borders fade into a complex whole, merging with the architecture of the place, too
guardian of multiple levels of experience. Through different forms of expression — sculptures,
bas-reliefs, watercolors — Nazeraj guides us on an intimate journey in search of meaning and
harmony. During the inaugural event a talk was organized to share reflections and
stories, stratifications of memories linked to the past, present and future of Fabbrica H3,
so as to highlight the strong link between Nazeraj's works and the space that hosts them. The opening established a significant connection with the citizens and with the inhabitants of Giudecca and Venice, creating a horizontal and enriching sharing space between people with different backgrounds and stories.

KARINA WILSON, a violinist specializing in the performance of Americas’ traditional music, performed in our spaces with her musical project Lone Pinon, a string group that re-proposes Americas’ traditional music with a modern point of view. The musical performance explore the Italian mandolin’s tradition and New Mexico tunes for fiddle, highlighting the undeniable connection with composer and Mandolinist Carlo Curti.

"FEAR OF THE DARK (first study)” is an exploration of the unconscious and the deeper landscapes of human beings. What happens when the eye sees only black? Images continue to exist in our minds, even though we do not see them physically they come from elsewhere, from within, from underneath. The challenge of this research is to literally apply the meaning of the word “understand,” that is, “to be underneath,” thus understanding without having to “bring things to the surface,” but by descending us into the world of the unconscious.

"THE ACT OF DEEP LISTENING". Stimulated by experience and learning, listening occurs voluntarily. Listening is not the same thing as hearing, and hearing is not the same thing as listening. The performance is divided into several acts, each entrusted to a musician who explores the innermost and most mysterious dimensions of the act of listening. It will be a journey of total appreciation of sound and research in contemplation of it, breaking the conventional canons of enjoyment of musical content.

Cuerdas trio interprets diverse musical paths ranging from popular music to classical music to his own compositions. In fact, its repertoire is made up of continuous musical encounters and interweavings that are expressed both through original instrumentation that combines classical and electric guitar with charango, and through the interpretation of the many rhythms and cultured and popular expressions that characterize the different musical cultures of Spanish-speaking Latin American countries. Moreover, the Cuerdas Trio's musical proposal is projected toward a total freedom in composition, through sonorities and harmonies that propose a completely personal and original timbral research.

"Il corpo immerso tende a risalire fino a che non inizia ad emergere"
Three are the makers, three are the modes of intervention. Three modes to tell the story of man in interaction with the craft, in a photographic container in which a narrative is developed that is divided into three different social approaches to the craft. The medium plays with the popular thought of the scrapbook, each image being a physical medium to be removed from the whole and individually analyzed, rotated, flipped, and rearranged. Three cities are the scene of these interventions, Vasto, Savona, and Venice, and their typical unprecedented ways of using and enjoying the craft. Venice is chosen as the location where the first of three presentations of this project will take place.
