Carlmont HS Dance Day Sunday Jan. 25 10-3pm Check in 9:45am. Dance Studio (above main gym) @ Calrmont HS 1400 Alameda de la Pulgas Belmont CA.
Free event for all Middle School and High School students in the community interested in dancing for the day. Ages 11-18. No experience required. Questions? Email: Roxanne Seliger rseliger@seq.org
Wear comfortable clothes or dance wear, water bottle, bring a lunch and a great attitude. Snacks and pizza provided.
Must Drop off and pick up on time. No transportation provided.

The Carlmont Dance Program is an exciting educational component of CHS comprised of beginning classes, one intermediate and one advanced production classes. Over 200 students are served each year through the standards based curriculum which meets the wide spectrum of experience in our dance community.
Our dancers gain from our program:
-Appreciation for the world of dance arts.
-Movement technique in multiple genres of dance styles.
-Performance opportunities to showcase their talents and skills.
-Camaraderie of fellow students who have the same interests and passion in dance.
-Opportunities to work with industry professionals in Master Class experiences.
Intermediate and Advance Dance Teacher
Ms. Roxanne Seliger has been dancing for 42 years and teaching dance for almost 30 years! She began dancing at the age of 4 with Ballet and Tap in Southern Illinois. She completed her first Tap Solo at age 9 and quickly moved forward with her dance training and knew she wanted to be a dance teacher. She moved to Bakersfield, CA where she studied under Georgia Peck and danced along side Tiler Peck (principal ballerina for the New York City Ballet and Georgia's daughter). She has competed in many national dance competitions and conventions winning awards in Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, and Modern dance styles. Throughout high school and college Ms. Seliger taught at seven dance studios, was part of a professional dance Athletic Dance team, studied with master teachers Al Gilbert, Joe Tremaine, Wade Robinson, Paula Abdul, and other industry professional to grow her skills. She earned a Bachelors of Art in Theatre Arts, Dance, and English with her California Teaching credential. While dancing and acting in Los Angeles she acquired her Screen Actors Guild membership. After her professional career, Ms. Seliger was a dance teacher at Bayside Middle School for the Arts in San Mateo, CA and Thomas Edison Charter Academy in San Francisco, CA. Ms. Seliger is now is very happy to be teaching the wonderful advanced and Intermediate Dance students at Carlmont high school and owns Coastside Dance School LLC in Pacifica and Daly City, CA.
