Restrictions & Limitations

Therapists are not required to conduct more than 4 initial evaluations in a day if they work 8 hours a day. Therapists are not required to conduct more than 5 initial evaluations if they work 10 hours a day.

Therapists are not permitted to limit the number of clients they see based on a diagnosis (e.g., limiting the number of MDD clients in their caseload).

Therapists are prohibited from conducting individual therapy with two people who are married or are in a romantic relationship. Therapists are also prohibited from conducting individual therapy with a client who they also see for couples therapy.

Therapists are prohibited from providing clinical care to Sensible Care employees, clinicians, or their family members.

Therapist Schedules:

1. Therapists’ weekly work schedules are determined at the time of hire and are set by the Provider Success team. Reach out to Provider Success with any requests to make changes.

Therapist Areas of Competencies & Age Offerings: 

To ensure client populations are appropriately matched, incoming therapists must select areas of competence before an offer has been extended. A minimum of 10 areas must be selected unless there are extenuating circumstances with an explanation.

Therapists may add to their areas of competence or change age offerings; however, this will require approval from the Senior Director of Healthcare Operations, Mandy Law. 

• • Suppose a therapist would like to petition to add and/or remove areas of competency. In that case, they must submit the following questions via ticket: 

1. 1. 1. • 1. 1. Which areas do you want to remove/add? 

              2. To add a competency, clearly state what education or training was achieved in this competency.

              3. To petition for the removal of a competency, please clearly state how continuing in this competency will either cause harm to yourself (i.e. trigger, burn-out, etc.) or to the client if continued.

         • Suppose a therapist would like to petition to change age offerings. In that case, they must submit the following questions via ticket: 

           1. 1. What age group would you like to see? 

              2. To expand age offerings, clearly state what education or training was achieved in to see this population. 

              3. To petition for narrowing age offerings, please clearly state how continuing to see this population will either cause harm to yourself (i.e. trigger, burn-out, etc.) or to the client if continued.
