You’ll also have two lessons of religious education on your timetable and surprisingly it’s not just about learning about religions! In RE at Selby High School we take a really interesting approach, looking at life’s BIG questions and using both religious and non religious beliefs to try and answer them. In year 7 you’ll explore questions such as: Why do people believe in God? What is so radical about Jesus? What does it mean to be Hindu? Should religious buildings be sold to feed the starving? Through looking at these topics we hope you’ll gain a wider understanding of the world around you and what your place in it is.

"Being a pacifist is a good way to live your life"
