As a Specialist School for the Arts and Science, Music is taken very seriously - but with a big emphasis on fun! In Key Stage 3, you will learn about the elements of music through exploring music from around the world, orchestral music, film music and popular music. You will have the opportunity to develop skills on instruments and perform with your peers. You will also get the chance to create your own music using instruments and computer software!
Our Music department would not be complete without a host of fun and exciting extracurricular activities. We have a Pop Choir that performs at various events throughout the year, There is a Keyboard and Guitar club where you can further develop your performance skills. If you already play an instrument, or are interested in playing one, you can take instrumental lessons at school.
There are numerous school wide events and school productions. Last year, many students got involved in our successful school production of ‘Annie’!
