Life Development covers your personal, social, health & economic education as well as citizenship. It’s a topic that you’ll do all the way through your years at Selby High School and equips you with the skills and knowledge to engage with yourself, others around you and the wider world. We call it Life Development because that’s quite simply what it is, it’s all about life! In year 7 you will have two lessons each fortnight and the best bit is the focus is all about you. Your lessons in September are aimed at helping you make that leap into secondary school life. Over the course of the year you’ll have done topics that explore your: Personal wellbeing and mental health, physical health and wellbeing, social education and relationships and the law.
