Over the coming weeks your child will be making decisions about their choices of subjects to study in year 10 and 11.

For students: Choosing your Level 2 qualifications
For Parents and caregivers: Helping your child make their Level 2 qualification choices
Students will have an assembly to introduce and explain the process followed by our Options Evening presentation for students and parents, carers & guardians. Students can also speak to their class teachers and Personal Development tutors to help them in making their choices.
Students will then receive a personalised email which will contain their Options form, please can you discuss the options with your child before they complete the form.
Key Dates:
Year 9 Options Assembly: Wednesday 28th February
Options Evening for Students & PCGs:
Wednesday 28th February: 4.30-7pm, Presentations at 5pm and 6:30pm.

CORE SUBJECTS
At KS4 the majority of students follow a core curriculum of English Language, English Literature, Maths, Science Trilogy, Spanish, Core PE, Life Development (LD) and RE.
Students then choose either History or Geography and then 2 further subjects.
+ HISTORY OR GEOGRAPHY
+ TWO OTHER SUBJECTS
You will choose 2 options subjects and 2 reserve choices. We always try to give students their preference choices, but occasionally, this is not possible.
We have a range of GCSE (9 - 1) and Vocational qualifications (Pass / Merit / Distinction) for you to choose from. You should think carefully about the subjects you enjoy and consider what you might want to study after school when you move on to college.
