FEAST is a programme across North Yorkshire to provide young people with a range of holiday activities and healthy meals for children through the school holidays.
Selby CoderDojo has been a FEAST provider since April 2025, and our lovely volunteers help young people get hands on and creative with technology and coding, all for free!
This is really important. If you have FEAST vouchers through school please book on through HolidayActivities. Log in to the website or app and search for Selby CoderDojo. We have lots of FEAST places available!
If you don't receive FEAST vouchers, we have a small number of free places that we've been able to secure other funding for. You can book those here - look for the events called 'Summer of Code'. Please do not use these places if you have FEAST vouchers.
Our summer session will be on Monday 27th July. We run a morning session from 08:30 to 12:30, and an afternoon session from 13:00 - 17:00.
In these sessions you will:
Design and make your own solar-powered light — including soldering a simple circuit — then take it home to keep.
Build a life-sized video game controller using everyday household objects.
Use tiny micro:bit computers to send secret visual messages for other teams to decode and follow.
Take part in screen-free games and team activities.
Enjoy freshly baked pizza with your own choice of toppings.
Yes!! Families in receipt of benefits related free school meals should have recieved FEAST vouchers through their school. Most of the places on our FEAST programmes go to young people with FEAST vouchers.
We go a step further, and find funding so that young people who don't have access to FEAST vouchers can also join in. Every young person gets exactly the same experience.
If you have any questions at all please contact us at info@selbycoderdojo.org.uk or text, whatsapp or call 07362559926 and we'll do our best to help!
