to the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable Members-Only Website!
As an all-volunteer, low-pressure group, joining Seed & Feed is a great way to reclaim your chops if it's been awhile since you've played regularly. Many of us hadn't played for years (decades) when we joined. There are no membership dues nor requirements for attendance, but it's good to attend as often as you can so you can become familiar with how we do things.
We rehearse on Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Little 5 Points Center for Arts & Community, 1083 Austin Avenue NE, Atlanta 30307. Please arrive a few minutes early if possible so we'll be ready to start promptly at 8:00. The band room is at the end of the building, near the Euclid Avenue entrance. There's usually plenty of parking in the back of the building. Our season officially runs from the Tuesday before Labor Day to Memorial Day, but we have a few gigs during the summer to keep ourselves entertained and warm.
After rehearsals, some of us typically go to Manuel's Tavern for food, drinks, and merriment. Everyone is welcome to join!
On other parts of this site you'll find gig details, Standard Operating Procedures, links to downloadable music, the current playlist, details about special gigs & events, and more!
If you find a broken link, misspelled word, or comma splice, or you can't find what you're looking for, email email@example.com and the team will make repairs.
Have friends or family who are interested in the band? Direct them to our public website, seedandfeed.org.
See that Google calendar? It's new in 2019-2020! This is NOT the same as the calendar on the public website; that calendar doesn't contain all the gig details that Abominables need. Pre-gig details will continue to be emailed to the band.
How to access the new calendar on your personal device(s).
- BEST option – If you're already a Google calendar user: On your computer (NOT your phone), open the link https://firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you could copy the link, open a browser on your phone and paste the link into it there.
- BETTER option – If you're not a Google calendar user and you know how to subscribe to a calendar in your calendar application of choice, you can do so using this iCal address: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/seedandfeed.org_h1qnctm4ce70ssfonk5litc5a8%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
- GOOD option – View it here on the website instead of subscribing to it.
- iPhone Users - Follow San's instructions here. (Thanks, San!)
