Message Priorities of the Week

Deliver Your Ballot To A Dropbox (TOP PRIORITY)

  • Voters who still have a mail-in ballot to return should utilize a dropbox to ensure that their vote will be received on time.

  • Voters should fill-out and return their ballots as soon as possible, while carefully following the simple instructions on their ballot, including remembering to put their ballot in the smaller secrecy envelope and seal it, then the larger return envelope, and then sign, date and seal it before taking it to a dropbox.

  • Voters can utilize a dropbox or return their ballot to their county elections office or a satellite voting location.

    • Provide voters their options depending on their location: find a drop box or county return location at vote.pa/return

Make a Plan to Vote on Election Day (TOP PRIORITY)

  1. Confirm your registration and polling location

    • Check your voter registration at VotesPA.com/Status

    • Visit Vote.pa/polls to confirm where you will be voting

    • If this is your first time voting at this location, bring a government ID and your voter registration card

  2. Pick a time of day to vote

    • Polls are open from 7 AM until 8 PM on Election Day

    • Encourage voters to set a reminder on their calendar app or planner

  3. Plan your trip to the polls

    • Confirm a reliable way to get to the polls

    • Rideshare apps are offering reduced or free fare for voting trips

    • Local organizations are planning free rides as well

  4. Prepare for a different experience

    • Voters need to wear a mask

    • Voters should prepare for longer, slower lines

    • Voters need to vote in each race on the ballot, since there is no more straight-ticket voting

    • Encourage voters to call 1-866-OUR-VOTE

How to Complete Your Mail-in Ballot

1. Complete your ballot

  • Read the instructions and make your candidate selections carefully.

  • Make sure to vote in every race on the ballot.

2. Pack and seal it

  • Put your ballot in the smaller secrecy envelope and seal it.

    • This is the envelope that only says “Official Election Ballot”

  • Put the smaller secrecy envelope in the larger ballot-return envelope

    • This is the envelope with “Business Reply Mail” on the front

3. Sign it and date it and seal it

  • Complete the “Voter’s Declaration” on the ballot-return envelope

    • Make sure to sign and date it

  • Seal the ballot-return envelope

4. Return it by mail or dropbox

  • Utilize a dropbox or return to your County Board of Elections, a satellite voting location or at a secure drop box
