Near G.B. Road, Thane (w) during the pandemic there was not only change in practices also change In how people look spaces. People were occupying spaces in a different way as the social gathering; freely moving in the crowd became a red flag for them. So the people now started to occupy edges, each edge has a unique way of gathering people. Some edges were occupied by young people and some were occupied by old age. There was a formation of occupying spaces on the basis of age group.

The syntax originated on the basis the edge occupied by people. The way the edge was used to sit, have conversations, eatery, and leisure. The edges became an element of syntax. The element of edges came into formation of vaults and semi open vaults as well sitting pavements,.

The vaults became a major element in the site as these vaults along with the sitting element made the emergence of vaccination booth in the neighborhood. Each vault is used as a vaccination booth during the pandemic. The sitting pavements emerged from the syntax became waiting area after the vaccination maintaining the idea of social distancing. The emergence of vaults later in the evening became a space for conversation, leisure eatery and other activities of people. the semi open vault which acts as a roof for ten old age people makes a zone for them which cuts them out the existing space but at the same time intervenes between the space in different way. The movement people along the edge gave an emergence to the jogging/walking track. the mobile market in the evening coming into these space creates a unique spatial intervention of between the people occupying the benches , vaults and the jogging track . this makes the whole space engaging also it changes the way how people occupy the space.
