Ms. Yeager's Classroom
Welcome to my teacher web page. Let me introduce myself. My name is Ms. Yeager and this is my first year teaching. I am so excited to be a part of your school and your children's lives. I have three children of my own. My oldest son, Joseph, is 21 and is currently in the Navy Reserves. My middle son, Matthew, is 19 and is transferring from Morningside College to Iowa State this year and is studying business finance. Besides getting his degree, he is hoping to be good enough to run on the ISU track team. My daughter, Sarah, is my youngest and is a senior this year at Bondurant-Farrar High School. She loves working at a daycare and is hoping to be healthy enough to run track again. Along with my three children, I have two large dogs. Tank is a Mastador weighing in at 165 pounds, and Gus is a German Wirehaired Pointer coming in at 70 pounds.
Now, I will give you a little history about how I got to where I am now. I grew up on a farm and graduated from the small town school in Baxter, Iowa. Wanting to be an official Hawkeye, I attended The University of Iowa and obtained my B.A. in business accounting. After graduating college, I moved to San Diego and lived in Southern California for 10 years. While living there, I worked in the accounting department of semi-conductor business, until my second child was born. I was then a stay-at-home mom until 2008. In 2007, I moved back to Iowa with my family and finally settled in Bondurant. When my youngest started kindergarten, I became an associate for Bondurant-Farrar Middle School and worked there for just over nine years. During that time, I obtained my 2nd degree, a B.S. in teaching through Upper Iowa University. I student taught in Johnston and did long-term sub positions in Bondurant and Carlisle for a year. Through these experiences, I knew I wanted to get back to that small town school setting and SE-Warrern seemed like the perfect fit for me.
