Meet the Teacher

Hello and welcome, parents and guardians! My name is Mrs. Perkins and I will be your child's 5th grade English Language Arts teacher for this school year. It seems strange to me that though I will be spending so much time with your child(ren), but you may have no idea who I am! Here is a little information about me:

*I graduated from Old Fort High School in 2007.

*I have received college degrees from: Heidelberg University (2011), Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education Major with Minors in Psychology and Art; Bowling Green State University (2012), 4/5 Generalist Endorsement; American College of Education, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (2014) and Master of Education in Elementary Education (2015).

*This will be my 12th year teaching, but my 10th year at Seneca East, and my 9th year teaching exclusively 5th grade ELA.

*I married my high school sweetheart in 2012

*We have 3 children together: Bryleigh, Landon, and Elyse

*We have a crazy mutt named Curious George who enjoys terrorizing everyone and everything
