Our sister project, Mavnation, is something that students look forward to seeing every other Tuesday. I asked some students why they like Mavnation, and what it means to them.
“The Mavnation videos bring my classroom together by creating a bond of knowing overall what's happening in school, which creates a sense of community in my opinion. Also we all laugh together at the funny parts, which brings us all together too! I see new students on everytime, and I see them around campus and see them as a part of the community, not just some random student. There's a big difference. I feel a little less stressed, since I can just sit back and watch the broadcast. It's nice, takes the stress of classwork off me,” said Wynn Moradi .
Students like different segments from weather jokes, to clubs, to class opportunities.
“The time they featured anatomy I've thought about it ever since, it's definitely a class I'll want to take in senior year. I also became aware of the club rushes through Mavnation. It feels good to be in the know, so I can participate,” said Wynn.
I also asked what students want to see in the future, to which they replied:
“I'd really love to see more things regarding the LGBTQ+ community on the broadcast, like interviews with GSA and mentions of pride month. Also heritage months, to make all students feel included and seen!” said Ms. Moradi.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to enjoy Mavnation and Mavlife, it makes our hard work pay off!
