Thank you for an amazing year!
My name is Winston I play the role of Officer Lockstock.
The premise of the show begins 20 years after a drought. There is a water shortage and the state has collaborated with a private company to manage, said water shortage. The plot centers around the fact that the state is too weak to control the company and instead, a private corporation rules the land.
If you're like me and you don't like things that are funny, the politics are really interesting and the societal commentary is very prescient.
My favorite memory from set was probably choreographing scenes and dances, that was probably the coolest part of the show.
If I were to describe the show in just three words, I'd say politics, songs, and sass.
I feel satisfied wrapping up my last theater production here at LCC. I've contributed a lot to the theater department for the last few years and as much as it worries me to leave, I'm happy that I got to perform in the show I've been in. I feel like I've given it my all and I did all I could for those who were by my side.
I will be going into chemical engineering soon, so the skills that I've learned here are definitely going to help me succeed in the future. It's all project work, and now I've very experienced with tight deadlines and long hours.
My name is Ryder Dilinger and I play the role of Cladwell B. Cladwell.
Yes, the title of the production may sound deceiving, but it's extremely funny. I definitely thought it was weird and odd at first, but the music is really catchy and honestly, it has become one of my favorite musicals. It's just a good time for the whole family to come and share a couple of laughs and listen to some really good music.
My favorite memory from set has got to be throwing Cladwell off the roof of the UGC building, that was really fun.
Since this is my first production, stage fright is definitely something I had to overcome. After the first few scenes though, everything was fine and I got over it pretty quick.
If I were to describe the show in just three words, I'd say funny, satire, and puppet.
This is my first production ever. I switched to acting kind of last minute because I just wanted to try it out. Last year, I was working behind the scenes as a sound technician, so switching was a pretty drastic difference. I've enjoyed the journey so far, so hopefully in the future, I can pursue the skills I've learned and apply them to filmmaking. I'm not the biggest fan of performing on stage, but it is a cool and rewarding experience. Through the many months of rehearsals, I found out that I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, I never thought that I would.
