Moo Crew is a school spirit club here at LCC. No one does school spirit like they do. Emma Gutierrez, a senior, is co-president of the club along with Ava Ohnsted, also a senior. Emma answered a few questions about the club and why they think school spirit is so important.
"The key purpose of Moo Crew is to be the leaders of LCC’s stampede who encourage the La Costa Canyon student body to support all sports and create the most positive and hype student sections," said Gutierrez.
LCC Moo Crew is all about fostering a caring and fun environment. They take steps to make sure this happens.
"Our typical meeting takes place in the ASB room. We create a fun positive environment often with snacks and treats brought in. We go over upcoming events that Moo Crew should show up and support as well as brainstorm ideas to benefit our school and students. Our club usually meets every few weeks and before big events," said Gutierrez.
Team members favorite thing about the club is the people. They get to do so many fun things together like go down on stage during the football games, and spread school cheer.
"Moo Crew has many unique people who all come together in order to create a fun, energetic atmosphere to better LCC community. My favorite part of the club is seeing everyone come out and show their love for LCC and school spirit," said Gutierrez.
So, if you are thinking of joining Moo Crew, don't hesitate to join! They are always looking for new members.
"For those thinking of joining Moo Crew: I would tell them it is a great resource to get involved especially for student athletes or anyone who wants to help contribute to LCC’s school spirit and community," said Gutierrez.
