1. The Serve:
A. Must be underhand.
B. One foot behind the back line.
C. Clear the net and all non-volley zones.
2. Double Bounce Rule:
A. The ball must bounce on each side of the net after the serve. Then the players may begin to volley.
3. Volley – To hit the ball without letting it bounce.
4. Non-Volley Zone:
A. You may not volley in the non-volley zone.
B. You are allowed to stand in the non-volley zone.
C. You may hit the ball in the non-volley zone as long as it bounces first.
5. Faults – causes a point to be made or gain of serve depending on which player served and which faulted.
A. Ball is hit out of bounds.
B. Ball is not hit back over the net.
C. Server does not follow rules of the serve.
D. A player volleys in the non-volley zone.
E. A player does not observe the double bounce rule.
6. Scoring:
A. A player must serve in order to score a point.
B. There are 11 points in a game.
C. The winning team must win by at least 2 points.
D. A ball landing on any line is considered good.
1. Player in RIGHT HAND court serves diagonally across court to receiver in opposite RIGHT HAND court.
2. The ball must clear the non-volley zone and land in the RIGHT HAND serving court. The Receiver must let the ball bounce before returning the serve. Serving team must also let the return bounce before playing it. Afterthe two bounces have occurred, the ball may then be either volleyed or played off the bounce until a fault is made.
3. If the fault is made by the receiving team, a point is scored by the serving team. When the serving team wins a point,its players will switch courts on their side and the same player will continue to serve.
4. When the serving team makes its first fault, players will stay in the same court and the second partner will then serve.When they make their second fault they will stay in the same courts and turn the ball over to the other team. Playersswitch courts only after scoring.
