The Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship [Deadline: 3/19/2026]
The Bobby Chapman Scholarship is to be awarded to a student who is a graduate (or soon will be) of a secondary school in the Southeastern United States and/or participated in a prior Bobby Chapman Invitational. The Bobby Chapman Scholarship will be awarded each year on or before May 15. Student recipient may or may not be a golfer.Eligibility Requirements:- Must be accepted to matriculate as a full-time student in an accredited college or university offering academic programs leading to the baccalaureate degree
- Must have the unqualified recommendation of his/her guidance counselor or principal
- Must be a person of good character with demonstrated leadership capacity and acceptable academic promise
- Must be a person who promises to make a positive contribution as a mature citizen
- Must be expected to maintain a scholastic performance level that advances him/her to graduation (3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale)

A scholarship, in the amount of no less than $500, is available to a worthy young person majoring in Forest Resource Management, or other natural resource based major, at an approved university or technical college. This scholarship will be based on scholastic record and achievement record. The scholarship will only be given to Newberry County residents and/or direct family members of the Newberry Forestry Association. Applications may be submitted by high school Seniors or university/technical college Freshmen, Sophomores or Juniors. However, graduating high school seniors will be prioritized. This scholarship program is in place to assist senior CTE completers in pursuit of their career goals.Eligibility Requirements:- Must be a SC high school senior
- Must be a CTE completer
Submission Criteria:- Send one copy of an official transcript.
- ONE COPY ONLY of your Official Transcript of Grades or permanent record showing final grades for the 9th – 11th grades is required. It must clearly show a cumulative GPA. The first semester grades of all your classes for your senior year must be included.
- Failure to complete all portions of this form will result in points deducted from your score or in disqualification.
- Submit the scholarship application, official transcript in a separate sealed envelope and reference letters to the Scholarship Committee in one large envelope.
All applications must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2026. The $1,500 scholarship will be mailed to the college in which the student enrolls once a Student Verification of Enrollment form is received. For those of us who were fortunate enough to work with and know Mary McAllister, she was an inspirational person who only knew kindness and compassion. Mary passed away on October 17, 2018, but her spirit lives on through her family, friends, and in her athletic training community. We see glimpses of her in everyday life and in those that display love and generosity to others without thought of oneself or personal gain. This scholarship was created to reward young professionals that show the same passion for caring as Mary and to help those students move forward in their dreams. This one-time $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the senior high school student who best represents Mary and the legacy that she left behind.The Mary McAllister Memorial Scholarship is administered through the McAllister family and Prisma Health Orthopedics, and it is sponsored by the Prisma Health Sports Medicine Annual Golf Tournament. The scholarship is a one-time monetary award presented to a student who plans to major in education. - Recommendations from guidance counselor and two teachers
- Extra-curricular activities involving athletic and non-athletic participation (must be an eligible high school participant on one or more athletic teams).

- A one-page essay (in the student’s handwriting) on the topic “Why I Want to Be a Teacher and Where I Envision Myself in the Teaching Field in Ten Years.”

The South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports (SCCAWS) and Trophies by “M” annually offer a scholarship to an incoming female college freshman from South Carolina. The scholarship is a one-time monetary award of $1000 presented to a student who plans to major in the medical field.Additional Application Components Reviewed and Eligibility Requirements- Academic excellence (transcript, including SAT and/or ACT scores required)
- Recommendations from guidance counselor and two teachers
- Extra-curricular activities involving athletic and non-athletic participation (must be an eligible high school participant on one or more high school league athletic teams).
- Enrolling female college freshman who plans to enter the field of medicine.
- A one-page essay (in the student’s handwriting) on the topic, “Why I Want to Enter the Medical Field and What Area of Specialization Do I Plan to Enter.”

The Keep Newberry County Beautiful (KNCB) will be awarding two $1000.00 scholarships to a graduating senior or current college student from Newberry County. The scholarship checks will be written directly to the college/university the student plans to attend. Students must be planning to attend and have been accepted by a college, university, or technical college to in the fall of 2026. The Brown Family Heritage Educational Scholarship is a $750 scholarship that will be awarded to a Newberry County high school senior planning to pursue a career in education.Eligibility Requirements- Pursing a career in education

The FTLT Scholarship was established by Mid-Carolina High School Alumni, Dr. Cedrick Hair and Attorney Reginald C. Hair, in 2022. This scholarship will be awarded to at least one student that plans to seek a degree in the legal field or healthcare field after graduation. INSTRUCTIONS- The application must be completed by the applicant. Please type or print clearly.
- Applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words responding to one of the following topics:
- (1) As a healthcare clinician, how would you address healthcare disparities in an effort to improve patient outcomes?
- (2) Why does diversity matter in the legal profession?
- Please ensure that your essay is original work and not copied from any online platforms.
Eligibility Criteria:- You are currently a student in your senior year at Mid-Carolina High School or Newberry High School with at least a 3.0 GPA.
- You plan to pursue academic studies within the legal field or healthcare field immediately after high school.
- You have been accepted to and plan to attend college no later than Fall 2026.
- You will promptly submit all documents by the scholarship deadline of April 15, 2026.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS- An official transcript depicting a minimum GPA of no less than 3.0
- Essay addressing one of the topics above
- A copy of your college acceptance letter on official letterhead
- One (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, supervisor, or minister.
Completed applications and supporting documentation, including the official transcript, must be received no later than April 15, 2026, to be considered for the FTLT Scholarship. The School District of Newberry County has set aside scholarships for students who attend a four-year college in the field of education or a two-year/technical college. Three (3) one-thousand-dollar ($1,000) scholarships will be awarded per year to high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college. Two (2) five-hundred-dollar ($500) scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend a two-year/technical college. Criteria for the four-year scholarship are:- The student must plan to major in education.
- The student must plan to attend an accredited 4-year institution.
- The student must have two (2) teacher recommendations. The recommendations must be included in the completed application packet that is submitted to the school counselor.
- The student must have at least a 3.0 weighted grade point average.
- A combined SAT score of at least 850 or ACT score of at least 18 will be considered in the application process, as many colleges have waived the SAT or ACT requirements.
Criteria for the two-year/technical college scholarship are:- The student must be accepted to a two-year institution or technical college.
- The student must have a 2.5 weighted grade point average.
- The student must have two (2) teacher recommendations. The recommendations must be included in the completed application packet that is submitted to the school counselor.
Selection of recipients will be made without regard to race, religion, sex, creed or handicap. Recipients must be U. S. citizens. Selection of the recipients will be made by a committee consisting of the Chief Human Resources Officer, one district administrator, and a school counselor from each high school and the career center. The scholarship money will be paid to the college or university and disbursed to the account of the recipient. It is the recipient’s responsibility to furnish an acceptance letter to the School District of Newberry County once the recipient has officially been enrolled.Deadline for submission is April 24, 2026. The 2026 Pomaria Ruritan Scholarship is a non-renewable one-time $750 cash award sent directly to the school, college, or university where its recipient attends school. There will be up to two $750.00 scholarships (limit 1 per applicant). The scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating high school senior who resides in Newberry County, South Carolina and preferably in the community of Pomaria.Eligibility Requirements:- Graduate from high school
- Accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school
- Be a US citizen
- GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Be a full time resident of Newberry County

Joye Law Firm is offering graduating seniors the opportunity to win a college scholarship to help further their education. The scholarship applications are open now until May 1st 2026. Joye Law Firm will offer six $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Selection of the recipients is based on the creative entry, school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits.Eligibility:- Open to all graduating South Carolina high school seniors
