Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music.

The 2017-18 school year will be Mr. Yudes’ 11th full year at Ladysmith High School. Mr. Yudes conducts the Concert Band, Marching Lumberjacks, Pep Band, Jazz Ensemble, drum line, and chamber music ensembles. He also teaches lessons to a variety of instruments during the student’s study hall, lunch time, before, and after school. Mr. Yudes also is the Dean of Students for Ladysmith Middle and High School, runs the School District of Ladysmith Summer School Program, the Ladysmith Elementary 21st Century Community Learning Center, and is an assistant football coach.

Under his direction, the Ladysmith High School Concert Band has appeared at the Waterside Stage, Downtown Disney Orlando, Florida, Six Flaggs Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, the field Museum in Chicago and has worked with guest conductors Dr. Linda Cook, Mr. Dave Schepp, Mr. Shawn Smith and Mr. Jeff Gretzinger.

Prior to coming to Ladysmith High School, Mr. Yudes student taught in the West DePere School District in DePere, Wisconsin under Mr. Dave Schepp and Mr. Shawn Smith. He has a Bachelors of Music from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin. There he studied music education under Dr. Fredrick Schmidt, Dr. Linda Cook, Dr. Bruce Tychinski, and Dr. Eric High. In July of 2016 Mr. Yudes completed his Master's degree in Science in Education, with an emphasis in Educational Administration.
