PhD student
He was born in Safi, Morocco in December 1997. After finishing his Diploma of Higher Education in Applied Mathematics in Faculté Polydisciplinaire de SAFI (FPS), he moved out to Marrakesh, Morocco where he received his Bsc degree in Applied mathematics in Faculté des Sciences Semlalia Marrakech (FSSM), Université Cadi Ayyad (UCA). On September 16th, 2021, he received his Msc degree in Applied Mathematics with major in mathematical modeling of random phenomena in the same University. He undertook an internship at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), as part of Modeling, Simulation and Data analysis (MSDA) research program where he explored Kernel-based learning for classification, clustering and dimensionality reduction.
At the moment, he is a Reaserch Assistant -Level III at Smart Data Analysis Systems (SDAS) Research Group. He is a PhD student, as well as a teaching assistant (TA) at MSDA Research Program at UM6P.
He is extremely interested in the mathematical theory behind Machine learning approaches. In particular, Kernel-based techniques for machine learning, seeking interpretability and simplicity even in Deep Learning context. He works on Support Vector Machines (SVM)- based formulation for classification and clustering utilizing latent representation in high-dimensional spaces, to spectral dimensionality reduction (DR) methods based on generalized kernels. As well as, finding a unifying and generalized framework for both DR and classification/Clustering models.
