Community Service Learning
Service Learning is more than doing the hours, but connecting the service to a learning experience based on preparation and reflection. Academy members will plan and execute outreach events.
Plan your service project ahead of time! Where will you volunteer? Consider your skills, interests and hobbies! If you are not sure, check out a few places below! You can also visit //www.volunteerar.org/ .
Develop an action plan! Invite your friends and family to volunteer with you! Document all hours completed.
Students will reflect on the service they provided. This reflection will include: what they did, how it improved the community, and how it helped them further their education as a student and as a citizen.
Turn forms into your adviser!
