Jaelynn Funk

Jaelynn Funk began coaching the Medicine Hat High School Track and Field Team in 2016. Her love for track grew at Medicine Hat High School in grade 9 to 12 where she ran hurdles, sprinting and relay. Her love did not stop after she graduated as the next year she started coaching hurdles with Scott Howes. Jaelynn also coaches track for Panthers for sprinting for all ages.
On top of track, Jaelynn is the chair of the Special Olympics here in Medicine Hat. She also coaches multiple sports for Special Olympics such as bocce ball, FUNdamentals and basketball. Jaelynn is currently teaching grade 4 at Mother Teresa School. Teaching physical literacy skills to all students of all abilities is important to her. She hopes each day she makes a positive influence on her athletes and students lives.
