Hello families,

My name is Debbie Chen and I will be your child's preschool teacher this year. I am so excited to learn, imagine, and play along with your children. I know this will be a wonderful year together!

This will be my 6th year at Meyer school and the start of my 14th year teaching. I love teaching Early Childhood because of how eager and willing students are to ask questions, get messy, and make mistakes. This makes the learning process so much fun!

I am originally from Maryland and currently live in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. I attended the University of Illinois and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Then, I pursued my Master's Degree in Special Education from Towson University. Last summer, I received my English Language endorsement.

In my free time I love to play with baby Ellie & dog April, swim, go to the beach, travel, hike, explore Chicago, and try new foods.
