Weclome to the 24'-25' School Year!🤓 I can not wait to begin my 3rd year here at McCracken as a special education teacher. Teaching is something I’ve known in my heart I’ve always wanted to do. At a very young age I begged my parents for two things: a younger brother, and a puppy. Unfortunately, neither a puppy or younger sibling ever arrived😭 -- but, that innate desire to care and provide has remained constant throughout my life. I found such a fulfilling feeling in working with kids. Whether it was looking after younger cousins, babysitting in the neighborhood, tutoring, or working at camp, that rewarding feeling I get is what drives me to want to teach.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University (Go Necks!), and began my teaching journey in a 2nd grade classroom in Lincolnshire. From there, I taught in Chicago Public Schools in Edison Park for six years, and eventually found my way to this unbelievably amazing school and district!

In my free time I love to spend time outdoors, playing sports, and being with my family. I have a large goldendoodle and two toddlers at home that keep me very active and busy!
