My ultimate goal for students is to have them enjoy reading. We aim for 20 minutes of reading at home per day, however this is the end-goal. If 20 minutes seems too much for your child, start small and build up their endurance slowly. For example, start with only 5 minutes and take turns reading pages with your child, or have your child read around the house, such as a grocery-list or recipe. Also, it is okay to take a break and maybe just play some games or take some nights off :)

If your child has a Google Account with the district, they can log-in to Google Chrome and access all of Google R&W for free
Provides support to make documents, web pages and common file types in Google Drive more accessible. It’s designed to help everyone engage with digital content in a way that suits their abilities and learning styles.

-Text-to-speech to hear words, passages, or whole documents read aloud with easy-to-follow dual colour highlighting
-Text and picture dictionaries to see the meaning of words explained
-Speech-to-text, dictate words to assist with writing, proofreading & studying
Create your own printable worksheets such as cross-word puzzles and word searches
Numerous interactive worksheets in a variety of topics
-Story can be found on Epic Books via the school library website
-Read-Aloud story can be found on YouTube
