Welcome!

I am Ms. Bevard, and I am delighted to be joining the Bluecat team at Glenn Westlake Middle School! You may notice that my face doesn't look familiar; that is because this is my first year with Lombard School District 44. Previously, I worked in Brookfield, IL, teaching 7th grade reading and writing. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Teaching degree at National Louis University, earning endorsements in both Language Arts and music. I am passionate about what I do, and I strive to bring that passion to my students every day.

Outside of school, my interests are quite varied. I'm a musician, and I enjoy performing throughout the Chicagoland area. I love attending live music performances, as well. Additionally, I am an avid reader and writer, I love cooking and trying new restaurants, I follow the Cubs obsessively, and I enjoy spending time with my fiance, family, friends, and dogs. I look forward to learning about all of my students' interests, hobbies, and passions, as well!

I'm very excited for the year ahead. I encourage my students and their parents to ask me questions. I will regularly post classroom notes and assignments on Google Classroom, but if you need clarification, please never hesitate to ask. I look forward to collaborating with you to achieve maximum success! I am very responsive to both phone calls and email, so please feel free to contact me.
