Welcome!!

My name is Scott Ross and I am the new principal at Ponderosa Elementary School for the 2016-17 school year. I come to you from the Kellogg School District, where I was the principal at the middle school for 3 years. Before that I was a 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher for 9 years.

My wife and I live here in Post Falls with our four wonderful kids, 13, 11, 8, and 9 months. They definitely keep us busy along with our three dogs (we call it the mini farm) but that is how we like it.

In my spare time I love to be with my family in the great outdoors. We really enjoy hiking, camping, exploring the Pacific Northwest as a family. I am also an avid fly fisherman who is usually more at home knee deep in a mountain stream somewhere then I would ever be on the busy streets of civilization. That is one of the reasons we have chosen North Idaho to be our forever home. It is a wonderful place to raise a family and raise your children appreciating all this wonderful world has to offer.
