Dear Jefferson School Parent/Guardian,

In order to close out the school year, we will be doing a combined pick up and drop off of materials. Included in this pick up/drop off will be the Spring LifeTouch Pictures and the 8th Grade Diplomas. The TENTATIVE dates and times are below:

Wednesday, June 10th

11am - 4pm

Thursday, June 11th

12:30pm - 5:30pm

Friday, June 12th

Please plan on returning any school books and Chromebook computers borrowed from the school as well as pick up any student materials left in the classroom. All materials have been bagged by the teachers. Please make sure to include the charging cord with your Chromebook when you bring it back to the school.

Pick up/drop off will be done in the parking lot on the West side of the building off of Union Avenue by Door 4 (Gym Door). Please remain in your vehicle and a staff member will come to you to collect materials and bring you your student items.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Baikauskas at cbaikauskas@sd170.com

Thank you for your patience during this time.

Sincerely,

Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members:

I hope this message finds you and your families safe and well. Today, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced that E Learning/remote learning in Illinois will be extended through April 30 in order to slow down the spread of COVID-19.

During this time, on-site learning will remain suspended but our schools’ commitment to learning and education will remain open and learning will continue for all students - just through a different format.

While it is not ideal, we want to assure you that at Chicago Heights School District 170, our teachers and staff are fully engaged and willing to take on this new challenge and push forward with E Learning/remote learning, engaging with students and continuing with our food distribution program.

I know this is not the school year that any of us imagined, but I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we have dealt with this unprecedented situation together.

I will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Be well and stay safe.

Kind regards,

Tom Amadio

Superintendent

Estar bien y mantenerse a salvo.

Saludos cordiales,

Tom Amadio

Superintendente
