Mindful Mondays
Start your week with a mindful intention in order to:
Practice the Pause so you can effectively respond.
Remind yourself that you are never far from your best resource- your BREATH.
To be in community with others requires being in community with yourself and how you show up.
Take care of yourself so you can take of others.

Practice the 3 SEL Signature Practices (Welcoming/Inclusion, Engaging Strategies, Optimistic Closures) to establish routines and nurture relationships in the classroom.
Explicitly teach SEL skills to reinforce resilience so that students can access learning and have the skills to navigate challenging situations in and out of school.

A socially and emotionally safe and welcoming classroom includes:
Adults who intentionally model Transformative SEL while supporting ALL their students to reach higher levels of learning
Relationships as the grounding and necessary condition for learning
Community building is regularly practiced so all students feel a sense of connection
Use the Quick Connection Cards to build community in Zoom Breakout rooms or link in Google Classroom as an Assignment for students to do with a family member.
SEL Skills are explicitly taught so students can access academic content
