SCSBOA Jazz Ed Essential Listening Playlists

Listening to the great jazz artists and recordings is the single most important thing you can do to learn this language and speak it authentically.  Every teacher and student should do as much as they can to keep listening and learning to improve and then use what you hear to create your own style and musical personality.  These two playlists are great starting points for anybody that just doesn't know where to listen to or where to find it.  We've tried to include some of the most important artists and songs, but it would be impossible for any playlist to be all inclusive.  Use this as a point of departure and then enjoy the journey from here as your tastes take you in the directions that inspire you the most!
