1) Login to the device. On the task bar, click on the time to open the notification center. Then click on the gear icon, circled in the screenshot below.
2) In the settings box window that opened, click on “About Chrome OS.”
3) Click "Check for Updates."
4) If the device is up to date, it will appear on the screen and no further action is needed. You may log off of the device.
5) If the device is not up to date, it will then download and install the update.
a) After updating, click "Relaunch" when prompted and check for updates again.
6) When you see the message "Your Device is Up to Date," you are finished.
