Saving books & print sources

how-to guide for Edu Pro

From the library, click the + New Source button to open the dropdown menu.

Select Add Book from the drop-down to add a new book to the selected library.

In the box that opens, search by title, ISBN, or author.

Select the correct book from the list, and click on the Create button.

Citation information is collected for the selected book, now saved in the library.

To view or edit citation information

From the library, hover over the recently added book, and click on the citation icon.

In the Edit Citation box, please confirm citation accuracy and add additional information, if needed.

Select citation style in the grey box at the bottom.

Copy the formatted citation by clicking on the copy button.

Click on the source in the library to manually enter quotes from a print source.

Clicking on the open book icon at the top of the page opens two text boxes, one for the page number, and the other for the text excerpt.

In the text excerpt, the text wraps automatically for paragraph style.

Pressing enter sends the cursor to the next line.

Click with the cursor outside the text box to complete the quote.

To add another excerpt, click on the open book icon.

Adding tags

Tags can be added to each quote with the sidebar or by hovering over the entry and selecting the tags icon.

Annotating text

The text of each excerpt can be annotated with tools that appear when the text box is open.

Select the icon to the far right to remove the annotation.

Quotes entered here will appear in the annotation search in the Outline tool and Scrible Writer add-on just like annotations from the online sources.

Add citation

Information for print sources is included in the sidebar with the other sources to auto-populate bibliographies or outlines with citations or annotations.
