Scrible for iPad is an iPad-friendly version of Scrible. It functions similarly to Scrible on a computer–-in conjunction with our browser extension and website.
To add a highlight, select the text with your finger or stylus, then tap on the highlighter icon in the toolbar and the highlight is added.
The Toolbar toggles between the screen’s top and bottom and the Sidebar from left to right, regardless of the iPad’s orientation.
Use these buttons (shown below) to easily toggle the location of the Toolbar or Sidebar.
To begin using Scrible for iPad, search for Scrible Extension in Apple’s App Store. The icon displays a white “S” inside a white puzzle piece outline against a dark teal background.
If this extension "app" doesn't open automatically after installation, please tap it once to open it. You will not need to open this again because all the action happens inside Safari.
Go to: Settings > Safari > Extensions > Scrible Extension on your iPad
Tap on the switch to toggle the extension: On
This guide offers more detailed information for adding the Scrible Toolbar Extension for Safari.
Once the Scrible extension is added to the Safari browser on the iPad and the user signs in to their account, the features associated with each plan are good to go as well…and much more accessible for students, educators, researchers, and writers on the go.
Users access their library through the website, www.scrible.com, or by touching the library icon from the Scrible Toolbar.
