When do I need to register my child(ren) for the 2022-2023 school year?
Please register NOW! It takes time to complete the registration process and to enroll students. Demand will increase closer to the beginning of school. If you wait, your child(ren) may not be able to attend Open House or start school on the first day.
If my child is already enrolled, do I need to enroll them again?
No, new student registration is for students who are not currently enrolled in the Screven County School System. If your child attended school in Screven County at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, you do not need to register them.
Where can I find step by step directions on how to register online?
If I start the online registration process, can I save it and come back to it later?
Yes, you can save and return to your application as many times as you need to. However, after you submit the application, you will not be able to edit it without contacting Holly Boykin at the Board of Education.
VERY IMPORTANT: When you start your application, make note of your application number! You will need it to return to your application.
What do I need to do if I do not have access to a computer?
If you do not have access to a computer, you may come by the Board of Education at 382 Halcyondale Road, Sylvania, GA to pick up a paper registration packet. During the summer, our office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 to 4:00. During the school year, our office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 to 4:00.

What documentation is required for new student registration?
Required Documents:
Certified Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Georgia Department of Public Health Form 3300
Current Georgia Immunization Record
Proof of Residency: A current utility (water, electric, or cable) bill with a 911 address or current rental lease can be accepted as proof of residency.
